Tips for the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle: A Betting Preview and Trends for 2022

One of the most recent competitions to be added to the Cheltenham Festival is the Dawn Run Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle, which made its debut the same year (2016). Due to the fact that this event is sponsored by Parnell Properties, most horse racing betting websites will refer to it as the Parnell Properties Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle when listing the odds for the 2022 edition of the race. Keep this in mind while looking at the odds.

Willie Mullins runners have dominated the competition so far, winning the first five editions of the race. The top three horses in the betting odds for the 2022 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle are all trained by Mullins, making him the favorite to win the race. There is a good chance that horses trained by Mullins will be featured prominently in any tips preview for the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle, and ours is no exception.

Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle Runners are the Center of Attention here

In this article, we will take a closer look at many of the leading candidates for the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle race.

A Fairyhouse Could Take the Form of Love When Allegorie De Vassy and Brandy Love, both trained by Willie Mullins, competed against one another at Fairyhouse in January, Allegorie De Vassy emerged victorious by a margin of three and a half lengths over Brandy Love, another horse trained by Mullins.

But that doesn’t tell the whole story because Brandy Love blew her chance by jumping noticeably to her left at a number of obstacles, most notably the second-to-last one, where her errant jump cost her the lead.

Allegorie De Vassy, who has only competed in four races before to joining Willie Mullins’ stable in Ireland from France, has a winning record of 2-2 since making the move, but it is not a given that she will maintain this level of performance at left-handed Cheltenham.

If Brandy Love decides to go back to her left-handed track, people are going to have a lot more favorable impression of her. Even though this former Irish point winner will need to step up in distance during the next season, she is still a strong possibility for the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle since she was so brilliant in a maiden hurdle race at Naas in December.

Dinoblue is the horse to beat in the 2022 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle.

Dinoblue, a mare that Mullins cares for and is even less experienced than Allegorie De Vassy and Brandy Love, has the potential to beat them both. Dinoblue’s first race was her debut, and she couldn’t have completed the task in an easier way if she had tried.

When she raced at Clonmel in January, the daughter of Doctor Dino bred in France looked like a mare to keep firmly on the right side of when she powered away from a couple of talented stablemates. One of those stablemates, Mi Lighthouse, went on to win the next time they raced at Limerick. If the other competitor, known as La Prima Donna, hadn’t been eliminated in the second-to-last position, the likely winner would have been her.

Dinoblue is capable of dealing with difficult terrain, so the question that arises now is whether or not she is just as effective on dry terrain, in the event that this is the case in March. But she already appears to be a high-class mare, and there could be stacks more to come from her, which is why Dinoblue tops our shortlist of tips for the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle.
